Quests
The painting addresses the theme
of exploration and discovery.
The composition is built from
a series of repeating forms
of human figures, greatly simplified.
A complex and multilayered composition, with elements that seem to be part
of a larger, unknown mechanism.
The arrangement of forms may suggest an analytical process that is part
of the search, both in a physical
and metaphorical sense.
It's a metaphor for the research process, the cognitive path, explorations, attempts to find answers. And even a spiritual journey, where individual shapes,
of varying sizes, symbolize different stages and choices.
This image may also provoke reflection on where we search, how often we seek something beyond our own boundaries, whether in a geographical, emotional, intellectual, or spiritual sense. Do we find answers?
“Quests” encourage contemplation
on our personal journeys, discovering unknown areas. And also on how
our searches affect our relationships
with others and our perception
of the surrounding reality.
