Assurance

“Assurance” is an abstract composition dominated by fluid, geometric lines creating forms of simplified silhouettes.

Assurance, meaning an attempt

at support, ensuring safety, is so very needed by each of us. One of the figures is falling towards the other. The second remains in a more stable position.

The falling figure seems to be in a state of uncertainty and danger, perhaps even resignation, while the second appears

to be in a position ready to provide support or catch the falling one.

The symmetrical and balanced composition introduces harmony

and balance.

The painting may provoke reflection

on our own support systems, relationships with others, and the ways

in which we secure ourselves and our surroundings against life's unpredictable events. This work may also be interpreted as a commentary on the social

and emotional boundaries we create

to protect ourselves and others.

It expresses human solidarity

and interdependence.
