Solace

On a smooth, clean background,

at the central point of the painting,

there is a figure in an embryonic position. This position, referred to in yoga

as balasana, is the child's pose, which reduces tension, alleviates stress, adds energy, and relaxes.

The “Limits” series as a whole,

and particularly the painting “Solace,”

is also a reflection on human nature,

on how we deal with limitations

and move our own boundaries.

It is an attempt to find balance, harmony between the body and the mind.
