Phantoms II
Against a pale, cool blue background, a multitude of marks appears—numerous signs seemingly scattered in a random fashion. These elements take the form of elongated, irregular strokes, varying in direction and intensity, creating a sense of dispersion and movement.
The arrangement of these signals is dynamic; there is no single focal point in the composition—the entire surface of the painting seems evenly filled with “phantom” traces, emphasizing a feeling of continuity and infinity. One may get the impression that these forms are either emerging or fading away, further reinforcing their fleeting nature.
The light blue background evokes a sense of calm and openness, reminiscent of a bright sky or an empty space in which small signs suddenly begin to appear. Their warm hue adds energy and makes them seem to almost “pulse” within the image’s space. They appear to float, as if they were merely transient, ephemeral forms.
The artist explores the relationship between the visible and the intangible—delving into the ephemerality of communication, the transience of presence, and even the digital distortions in the flow of information.
On the canvas, she leaves behind traces that exist on the edge of visibility and meaning.
