Blue bodies

In “Blue Bodies”, the lines can be seen as abstract representations of celestial bodies such as stars or planets, or as reflections of human bodies in motion. These dynamic forms suggest fluidity and organicity, while still retaining a certain geometric precision.

The dominant blue color brings a feeling of peace and harmony to the image. It is associated with sky and water, which are symbols of immutability and depth. The lines, although dynamic, seem to move harmoniously, which further enhances the impression of peace.

Boundaries are present in this image in both a literal and metaphorical sense. Literally, lines create boundaries between different areas of the image. Metaphorically, they can symbolize boundaries between different states of mind.
The painting “Blue Bodies” by Magdalena Nowatkowska is a fascinating example of how the simplicity of form and color can lead to a deep and multi-layered interpretation. Through the use of delicate lines and calm colors, the artist creates a composition that is both aesthetically pleasing and intellectually engaging. Every element of the painting – from color to line form – works together to create a harmonious whole that invites the viewer to reflect on the nature of boundaries, movement and calm.
