More works at the Masovian Auction House!
I would like to announce that another of my paintings has been handed over to the gallery – Masovian Auction House! It gives me great joy to be able to share my art with a wider audience.
Below are short descriptions of the paintings that you will be able to see live in the Masovian Auction House gallery within a few days.
G026:Pi, as the title suggests, is shaped like the letter “P” from the Greek alphabet, symbolizing numbers and mathematics.
In the context of borders, this image explores the limits of knowledge and understanding, presenting them as unclear and difficult to define. Invisible boundaries in human life that, although difficult to grasp, are fundamental to our experience.
Lines as symbols of mathematical order, but also of the unpredictability and variability of human experiences and relationships.
It is also a metaphor for human knowledge and uncertainty. A reflection on the intangible aspects of the human experience and our attempts to make sense of them.
G029: Under the cover of night, presents a dynamic play of contrasts and a minimalist composition. The dominant, intensely black background plane clearly contrasts with the lighter, subtle lines that create human shapes.
It's a pandemic job. It depicts night conversations and neighborly relations between Italians. Night symbolizes the boundaries between visible and hidden, between what is visible and what is hidden. Between what is allowed and what is not.
It is a story about the strength and great need for interpersonal relationships. Mutual support, the need to be together. In the face of uncertainty and barriers that are difficult to overcome, the emotional and psychological aspects of living in hiding and isolation encourage relationships across borders.
G077: Outline of Existence, a minimalist composition focuses on the geometric outline of the human body, which is subtly embedded on the edges of the canvas. The outline of the breast, although clearly marked, the figure as if adjusted to the form, milled into the frame of the canvas, is a story about corporeality.
The artist explores topics of feminism, femininity, and simply the human form.
G079: Within the frame of the body of corporeality, the painting presents a geometricized, figurative abstraction, a simplified form of the human body. Bodies forming frames on an energetic orange background. This is a story about the energy of the body.
The artist works with images with clearly cropped body parts and calls the abstract nudes in this series corporeal images.
Through the use of simple forms and a limited color palette, Nowatkowska makes us think about what is important in our experience of corporeality and how our own perceptions define what we see.
I cordially invite you to visit the gallery!
