Invitation to the Auction: The Unique Painting “Under the Cover of Night”

This evening at 7:00 PM at the Mazowiecki Dom Aukcyjny and online on the platforms one.bid and artinfopolska, an auction will take place where one of my favorite paintings – “Under the Cover of Night” – will be up for bidding.

This piece holds special significance for me. It was created during the pandemic and depicts nighttime conversations and neighborly relations in Italy. The night, as the central theme, symbolizes the boundary between the visible and the hidden, between openness and secrecy, between what is allowed and what is forbidden.

The composition of the painting is based on a dynamic play of contrasts – the intense black of the background interweaves with subtle lines that, in a minimalist manner, reveal human forms. It’s a story about the strength and undying need for human connections, about mutual support during the challenging times of isolation.

There are two ways to participate in the bidding:
