Announcement of the exhibition: “Score for a Human” – Magdalena Nowatkowska | Curator: Bogusław Deptuła

On September 25, 2025, at the Mazovian Auction House, the opening of my exhibition titled “Score for a Human” will take place. This event will bring together the art of painting with a reflection on the human condition, our presence, and our role in today’s world.

In my works, I balance between seriousness and irony, sign and enigma, question and answer. As the exhibition’s curator, Bogusław Deptuła, has beautifully put it:

“Score for a Human – humans can be played like instruments, they can also be toyed with, or spoken about both seriously and not quite so. This is precisely what the painter does, balancing between seriousness and irony, enigma and sign, riddle and answer.”

The exhibition “Score for a Human” is nothing less than a story about humanity. It is a metaphor for life – a score that must be played, no matter the circumstances…
